CESBC Diverse Voices Workshop:

The First Nations principles of OCAP® presented by Kristine Neglia

Space is limited to 25 people. If the workshop is full, please join the waitlist and we will aim to schedule a further training based on demand.

Please register by Weds June 11 as we need to ensure enough registrations to be able to hold the workshop.

The First Nations principles of OCAP® establish how First Nations’ data and information will be collected, protected, used, and shared. Standing for ownership, control, access and possession, OCAP® is a tool to support strong information governance on the path to First Nations data sovereignty.

The First Nations Principles of OCAP® Workshop is a four-hour virtual workshop that provides participants with an interactive opportunity to deeper explore the First Nations principles of OCAP®. The workshop explores OCAP®, data sovereignty, and research and data management issues through historical and contemporary examples. It offers participants the opportunity to consider how OCAP® can be respected within their current work.

Date: Tuesday, June 15 &  Wednesday, June 16, 2021

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m

Online: Zoom registration link will be provided upon registration
