Summary

The webinar will stimulate discussion on how, as an evaluator, you could be a critical catalyst for change. Zena Simces will present key strategies and actions you can take to effectively foster change with your clients and in the organizations you are working with, focusing on removing roadblocks and barriers and having a positive influence. With over 30 years of experience as an evaluator and consultant, Zena brings her experience and research as outlined in her recently published book, You Can Make a Difference: A Guide to Being a Great Consultant, to assist evaluators in their work as agents of change.

Participants are encouraged to bring questions you may have to an open Q&A discussion regarding how you, as an evaluator, can drive the change needed to achieve desired results.

Biography of presenter:

Zena Simces is a Consultant for Strategic Change with over 30 years of experience in health, social services, education, justice and employment areas in government, not-for-profit and private sectors.

She has a unique combination of expertise in research, program evaluation, strategic planning, policy and program development and organizational change, along with a solid background in community consultation/facilitation, community development and engagement, marketing, communications and public/media relations.

She has conducted numerous evaluations and facilitated extensive consultations with a wider range of community organizations, professional groups, the business community, academic and diverse cultural groups, First Nations, women, seniors, families, youth, people with mental and physical challenges and the general public.

She has recently published the book You Can Make a Difference: A Guide to Being a Great Consultant. The book takes a comprehensive look at how to make a difference as a consultant in today's complex world and how to meet future challenges. It provides narratives from her years of experience, research on best practices and practical tips to guide people on a successful path, whether in their consulting career or in a leadership or management position in any sector.
