Webinar focus:

This webinar will focus on Reflective Practice, one of the CES Evaluation Competency Domains. It will look at how and why we should incorporate reflection more fully into our working lives.

What barriers and issues stand in the way of innovation? What questions should we be asking? What reflective strategies can we use, and if we use them, what are the implications? These questions will be addressed as we will look more clearly at the links between reflection, innovation, and action.

Biography of presenter:

Gail Vallance Barrington has conducted over 130 program evaluation studies. She is currently Vice President of the Canadian Evaluation Society, responsible for the Professional Designation Programs. She teaches qualitative research and program evaluation for Athabasca University, Michigan State University, and the University of Alberta. Her 2012 book, Consulting Start-up and Management: A Guide for Evaluators and Applied Researchers continues to be popular. In 2008 she received the CES award for her Contribution to Evaluation in Canada and in 2016 the AEA Alva and Gunnar Myrdal Award for Evaluation Practice.
