Transformative Growth Solutions of UBC's School of Population and Public Health took home the Student Evaluation Case Competition plaque at the 2017 CES Conference on home turf in Vancouver, BC on May 1st.

Team members were Laura Dale, Dallas Genereaux, Felicia Phan, Angela Randall and Selina Suleman. Coaches were Graham Shaw and Chris Lovato

It was a close contest. The team, along with the other two finalist teams – Wavelength Consulting of the University of Waterloo and Chrysalis Consulting of the University of Saskatchewan – presented their proposals for an evaluation of the Ottawa Child and Youth Initiative—Growing Up Great to a panel of judges and conference delegates. This marks the second time that UBC has won this national competition. The team was presented with the competition plaque at the annual CES awards luncheon.

Dallas Genereaux of the UBC team was also the winner of the juried Poster competition prize at the conference.

The SEEK Award was also presented at the conference to Linzi Williamson of the University of Saskatchewan. Linzi was also one of the coaches of the University of Saskatchewan team.

The CES/CESEF Case Competition Working Group would like to thank the teams, coaches, judges, and our supporters for making this year's student competitions a success. We encourage students and coaches across Canada to plan to participate in 2018.
