Conference Theme
Evaluation isn't a linear process — it's a dynamic and evolving journey, shaped by continuous learning and reflection. Unfolding the Evaluation Journey invites us to approach evaluation as a path filled with opportunities to learn, adapt, and deepen our understanding of the practice and its impact.
Keynote Speaker
Stitching Together the Stories That Shape Our Evaluation Practice
Dr. Gladys Rowe (MSW) explores how our evaluation journeys are stitched together from moments of learning and unlearning, guided by the relationships and responsibilities we hold. She invites evaluators to reflect on where we come from, what we are accountable to, and the futures we are helping to shape through our work.
Together, we will consider how re-centering story can transform evaluation into a relational practice of trust, care, and possibility. Gladys is the host of Indigenous Insights: An Evaluation Podcast – where she sits in conversation with Indigenous leaders across Turtle Island and beyond.

Get Involved!
Become a Presenter
We invite all people interested in presenting at the CESBC Evaluation Conference to submit an abstract!
There are three formats to choose from: long format (50 min interactive panel, workshop, or World Café), short format (25 min presentation and discussion), or roundtable (50 min multiple discussions on topics of interest). All formats should promote and encourage knowledge sharing among all participants. We encourage engaging and creative methods of presenting and knowledge sharing within these formats.
Become a Sponsor
Sponsorship funds support bursaries to improve access to the conference for students, emerging evaluators, members of underrepresented groups, and those demonstrating financial need. Benefits for sponsors include receiving recognition through event marketing, as well as complimentary registrations to attend the conference.
Volunteer
We need your help to make our local conference happen! In the months before the conference, help to review abstracts and reach out to sponsors. The day-of, volunteer at the registration table, be a room facilitator, or participate as a mentor or mentee in our Buddies Program.
Apply for Financial Support
Financial support to attend the conference is available for BC-based evaluators from underrepresented communities and those with demonstrated financial need.
