Message for the BC Evaluation Community

The CESBC Board has made the decision not to host an in-person conference in the Fall 2026. The conference is a large undertaking for a volunteer board. We do not currently have the capacity – in terms of human resources and time – to meaningfully plan a well-organized event of this size. We want to ensure these resources are in place before engaging with volunteers, BC CES members, conference sponsors, conference attendees, and other members of our local evaluation community.

We remain committed to providing a mix of opportunities to connect, network and learn, virtually and in-person across BC, as well as to build community. CESBC will host a variety of events this Summer and Fall, including new unique offerings (like the launch of our Learning Exchange!) and social get-togethers. We also look forward to collaborating on learning sessions with members of the BC evaluation community and sharing some of our internal expertise.

We have also been working on important projects such as our website revamp and communications strategy, to improve the Chapter’s financial sustainability and better meet the needs of our membership.

Please keep an eye out for upcoming announcements in the newsletter, on our website (latest news and upcoming events sections) and on LinkedIn!

If you have any thoughts, questions or comments. Staying true to the spirit of evaluation, we are always open to feedback and input. Please feel free to reach out to Angela Randall, CESBC President at cesbc.president@gmail.com or connect with other members of the board.
